Should rebreathers be banned?
I have just climbed down off my roof where I was removing some leaves from a gutter. I had to do it myself (with a ladder) because I could not afford a man with some HSE-approved scaffolding tower.
Tomorrow I head for the Sudan where they will stone you to death for making love to your wife if you area Christian and she a Moslem. Don't mention the teacher and the Teddy Bear!
The Are Rebreathers Dangerous thread has been and continues to be so interesting, I wondered how many people thought rebreathers should be banned, along with motorcycles, cars that are proven kiddy-killers, and things with sharp edges.

no every one deserves to choose the level of risk in their lives, however when something becomes so dangerous it has a capacity to take you out and others then maybe that would need reviewing.....

Most definately, if we all spent our time indoors watching "question time" and playing chess it would be a far safer world........mind you I seem to recall that watching tv was bad for you. So scrap watching tv

I think people should be encouraged to risk their lives. Maybe even with a tax incentive.

And dont forget sex. That should be banned too. We can reproduce using artifical insemination after both parties eggs and seamen has been scanned and iradiated.

Sex is obviously far too dangerous. Pleasure and bonding argumnets pail in the face of the safety issues.
