Nominating a start time cost 6p per listing.

I start mine at 20:00 on Sundays for 7-day listings.

Yes, if you're selling try and get the auction to end sometime on Sunday evening by either listing it on a Sunday evening for seven days or paying to have it finish then.

If you're buying, look for items that end on a Monday morning

or list it on a Thursday evening for 10 days which then finishs on Sunday

I always find an auction finishing just after lunch or at about 8pm (Mon-Thurs) get the best results. I've managed to get a replacement digital camera much cheaper on weekends that equivalents selling on weekdays
