thanks all. deffo take own then. hotel shops are a rip off at the best of times, and egypt is no different based on other trips. captive audience etc etc. at least it'll save bothering with E£.

was caught off guard at the beginning of the year in hurghada when downtown had moved from 'old' downtown to the papa's area. couldn't believe the difference in the place in the 7 years i'd not been there. was kinda expecting something simiar to have happened to MA. guess that's still a few years off.

yeah there is a new Mall now with a big Wallmart but the Decathlon near the airport is much better value if your not worried about wearing Le coc sportief.

Thinking hard though you'd best pack everything cos there is f**k all there but sand. No need to bring any sand
