Dilemma: but a good one

I hope you're all having a great start to Christmas.
Without boring you all with details, a mate has come into a few quid and offered to buy me a new reg set or a new camera.

My current regs are a 5ish year old Oceanic DX4 / zeta. Always performed well.
My current camera is a similarly aged Fuji F700. Again, fine if somewhat basic.

Any thoughts? For example, is this a good time to replace regs and fleabay my old set.
S.

dilemma

don't Oceanic regs have a lifetime guarantee if you have them serviced regularly? Go for a new camera or a course or a holiday with your mate.

I would generally agree with getting new regs, esp Apex.

I used to have a Fuji F700 which I liked but when it died I replaced it with an Olympus 770 which is much better for the U/W stuff and has better settings. I guess it depends on how much you use a camera or want to develop the photography side but new and shiny regs are always going to be a bonus!

In my opinion Apeks regs are the best, so I would upgrade them first, then sell your old ones, and the camera, and put that money towards upgrading your camera
