Sorry to hear the news Steve. As you said... Live for today! Could be years before it affects you. There are plenty more good years of banter to be had!

Hopefully see you soon for a splash matey!

Hey mate sorry to hear about the problem, the lengths some people will go too, to avoid their turn to dive with the Dude i think we will have to rename you as Porka does not really do you justice.

I think you bring new meaning to the term "Wreck Diver"

Steve the Wreck is a much better name

Oh and thanks for taking Captain Deco off of our hands

Get on down with the DUE!!!
Cheers for the offer mate, I'm there wednesday weather and eyeballs permitting no hugs though

Hopefully events will unfold, if they do at a very slow rate, many years into the future. Meanwhile, enjoy what you have, as you have a lot
Truk it is then mate

Anyhoo Steve, cheer your miserable self up - you are diving on the 2nd aincha? We can add an eye check to our bubble check @ 6m and then I'll l give you the GUSAC eye-test .... Firstly I'll show you some 'special' signals, making sure you can see & understand them then have a quick peek into the mince pies with the 18w Salvo..... If you can still see - we can continue the dive, if not, I'll abandon you like the last time

I blame vindictive MP - more than once he said that it was a case of the 'Blind leading the blind'...... I did wonder what he meant!

Don't worry too much matey

Di
Not being able to see your flamboyant improvised signals could have it's plus side I reckon you may have to dim that floodlight of yours in the meantime though

'Not quite as old as you wreck' if you please

I hope the condition, if it does deteriorate, that it is very slow.

Adrian
Cheers mate although if it did happen I doubt I could stay involved unfortunately

Sorry about this Steve. I have worked in eye surgery and will speak to some colleagues to find some info for you. Incidently one of my polar colleagues had pretty severe retinopathy and apart from not being allowed to navigate or carry the polar bear gun (!), he was able to fully participate in a polar expedition so there are always adventures out there. Best of luck.
