The value of trawling old posts eh.

I have a -very- old mask, cant even read the manufacturers label, that i'm clinging onto because I bought a Shadow mask that just keeps fogging up. So much so that I have palpitations thinking about departing from my old faithfull. To the dishwasher!!!

- I'm sure it will work for you.

These days I lob any new mask in the dishwasher and then attack it with a toothbrush and some plain white toothpaste (non-gel) for 5 minutes just to be sure. Never had a problem since.

Cheers

run a cigarette lighter flame over the inner surface of the lens first - burns off the residue from manufacture. then dishwasher it.

Seac Sub drysuit. Started to leak and fall apart less than a year after i bought it. Nursed it along and spent a fortune on it. Would never buy anything made by seac ever again.
