Thank you Mark for all your effort in arranging the two dives unfortunatly the weather gods were against us on the planned days.
Thanks to Janos who came up with plan B at short notice.
Thank you to Howard Payne for the quality donuts.
Thanks to Brian for the loan of a twin set so I could still dive after my Inspo was very naughty.
Thanks to everybody else who made yesterday a fun day out.
Graham.
What l found very surprising is than one day the skipper tells us we can't dive the Ice Prince so we plan to dive another wreck if the IP is not possible, then next thing Clare's mob dive it?
He must have listened to Chasey who told him it was possible to dive, so DIR UK you owe it to Chasey otherwise Graham wouldn't have gone there.
If that is the case Howard then you are right, thanks are due. However, that morning we left early enough to go to another wreck if he couldn't find the Ice Prince so I guess that is a contingency that he asked everyone to do - only thing with us was it wasn't planned in advance so we were all on the boat when we had to decide. He's a great skipper who wants to make sure that everyone gets a decent dive - I guess for that he needs a back up plan especially if we are that far out.
As I said, I'm genuinely sorry that you guys didn't make it on to the wreck. Howard was unable to be with us on the Monday so missed out twice - it's not much fun looking forward to a dive and then not being able to do it. So glad you had a good day on the Scylla, might not have been that same but a fun day out is still that is it not?

been laughing at this thread for a wee while now, even more so after reading this one a few days ago... DIR-UK take the Ice Prince's virginity! - Conger Alley, Scuba Diving In Scotland
seen it comming ehh!!
sounds like all the toys are out the pram trying to claim some sort of 'im first' when we all know that salvage divers where there first and being paid months ago .... yes i did say 'being paid' ..... as opposed to paying to dive it..![]()
or perhaps they were not doing it right enough to claim some 'crown'..
and in the end, we have some scooby-doo divers crying in their soup over it...
this is almost as funny as Ant & Dec on Saturday night TV.... wearing black suits of-course.![]()

tell it like it is.
Strikes me that there was never a race on this dive as Chasey's original post is just about diving it, not trying to get there first, although it has not held any interest for me as its too new for my liking.
For the time and effort spent setting the dive up i have a lot of sympathy with Chasey and crew, always a bummer when it don't happeneven more so when you think its doable.
I have to laugh at the posts as linked to by Stew, you would think its a major findnot a well publicized wreck that sunk a few months ago, never mind i imagine they are wetting themselves on Backslappers.com
Now this though is something to get chuffed about, and a bit more like Exploring:- HMS Olympus found off Malta in 115m
