    Diving the Ice Prince?

So who's interested in diving the Ice Prince? est 60m to the sea bed and 47m to the top of the wreck (on its side)

I don't know how long the salvage will take but once finished and the exclusion zone is lifted id like to go dive it.

They have given out a position which may or may not be accurate enough to locate the wreck so I suspect it will be a case of getting out there and searching for it but i am wondering if any one else would be willing to charter a boat on the off chance of finding it and diving it?

EDIT 04/03/08 We are now prety confident we know where it is.

Take into account the crap on top gives, what, 60m (ish) to the decks and 80m (ish) to the sea bed?

    In other words - YES!

WWD was talking about changing target for one of his dives. It would be an interesting dive, just to see how it lies.

I bet the timber is going to be like when that one ran aground a couple of years ago. There was bundles of timber all over Devon. My bro in law had a nice new shed out of it.

Sorry, yes i should point out its expected to be a 70m ish dive.

Basically, I am looking for 10 like minded people willing to risk £60-70 on the off chance of diving it.

I don't know if i can definitely sort this out but I am definitely going to try.

I haven't got a boat yet but I will be getting something with a lift and this will be a deco station dive with not less than three hours as a maximum dive time. Ill book as near to a good tide as I can.

Owing to the fact we have no dates yet no one will be committed until such times as dates are up and you have had a chance to confirm

I'll put John down as a provisional as he's the other half of team SNAFU. I'll PM him to confirm as I'm not sure whether he could do a weekday.

I'd be tempted to break my general rule and venture south of the Mersey depending on dates. The house I'm buying needs new floor timbers.
