I've heard that Mikes Dive Store at Rugby has stopped trading...so hear another LDS going down...

To be honest I'm surprised they lasted as long as they did... I grew up in Rugby and still have family there.
It's kind of in the middle of nowhere and the shop location is well outside of town. I'd imagine they only served the local town and villages around there.. because Coventry, Birmingham and even Stoney Cove have Dive Stores.

Rugby as a town I think has gone downhill since my childhood, and it's constantly had a very high turnover of businesses. Only the major retail chains have tended to survive.

According to the Mikes website, Rugby hasn't folded, but it is in the process of relocating and will reopen in mid March...

Maybe he just wanted to turn over his stock a bit and raise some ready folding to help with relocation? Less to have to move, more new kit upon opening etc....
