I have way too much time and far too much champagne in my system tonight to be useful in this game!

Petra is not a name unreasonable enough that i would risk the bad luck of renaming it.
But if I ever name a boat it will be after a celestial object as ahommage to the ancient sea fearers navigating by the stars.

So how about:
Deneb
Aldebaran
Atair
Capella
Spica
Vega

Vonny, why not call it 'Portland Coastguard'?

I used to dive with a guy whose boat was called Stardust and who used to get very confused on the radio so the call usually went..

Dave. "Stardust, stardust, stardust, this is Brixham coastguard, over.

Brixham CG. Stardust, stardust, stardust, no... I think you'll find WE'RE Brixham coastguard...

How about..

"Rekem" was the old name for Petra, so you could call your boat "Wreck 'em".
There should not be too much bad luck changing the name to an older name
