| I gave my mate a 3.6 lithium for his mono screen and he seemed to get problems he then installed a normal AA and the problems ceased. The colour screens seem to like the 3.6v batts, as per the previous post try a normal AA. Regards Grant

| I've tried a couple of different brand AA 1.5's and it hasn't made any difference. I've just stuck 2 brand spanker Duracells in and no joy I've got some weird log registry entries like the following; On mine i) A dive on 17th Jan 2007 to 25 metres for 2516631 minutes !!!!! ii) A dive on 29 Sept 1996 (possibly a test) to 85m for 157 mins with 13 missed mins stops iii) A dive on 27 Sept 1996 (possible a pre-sale tes) to 10m for 1 min with 2 mins missed stops On Nic's the following appear i) A dive on 9th Feb 2008 to 24 metres for 2496539 minutes !!! ii) A dive on 9th Feb 2008 to 23 metres for -584 minutes (thats minus 584!!) iii) A dive on the 0th (!!) Jan 1992 to 0 metres for -1092 minutes (thats minus again!!) Bizarre !!! I don't know if there is a hard reset proceedure that can be done - I woul dhave thought 24 hours without batteries would wipe most stuff. I am prompted to put in the date but the LOG is still full of previous dives inc these 'odd-ones' Thanks for looking guys. Graham |

| OK I've just gone through everything again methodically and installed a spankers new set of 1.5volt Duracells. After filling in the date & time the 'missed stops' was still showing. However once I'd selected gases the 'missed stops' disappeared. This happened on both VR's. I think I will leave it 24+ hours before jumping up on the roof and beating my chest as I have somehow managed to get rid of the 'missed stops' before by pure fluke, only for it to return the next day. Fingers crossed ! Cheers Graham |

| I shouldn't worry about it too much if these are the only symptoms. It is most likely just a bit of randomness left in the memory after the battery change. They are a bit sensitive to (technical term) being dicked around with . The easiest way to clear the 'bizzarre' problems is to put a real dive on it. Nothing too fancy, just deep enough to switch on and keep it there for at least 15 minutes. If you are worried about it use a different method for decompression planning and monitoring...which you should be carrying anyway according to the VR3s manual. HTH
