The document states that the insured is a member of DAN Europe.

There is a seperate document stating terms that applied BEFORE 1st January 2008.

Maybe terms have changed, since you were sent your card.

Looks like it's related to "Optional Cover in Event of Death"

My new card and policy is dated 7th Feb 2008

This section your talking about refers to an optional life insurance policy (that I dont have) which pays out annualy reimbersment to the widow in the event of my death

I didnt bother as it dosent cover recreational technical diving which is what I do most of the time.

Its got nothing to do with the general diving cover.

It's Garf that's taking about it, I just pointed you to the section he refered to. I also don't bother with this policy, I just use DAN to pay chamber costs if I get bent
