| I am just waiting for all those posts saying he shouldn't have abused the wildlife by hitching a ride on that GWS's dorsal fin. I am sure if the GWS didn't want him there, she could have done something about it.... ![]() Snash

| What a load of ... comentator " Just before Mike enters the water (with the shark) he goes all distant and strange, something he calls 'Shark Mode'..." Excuse me.. Pretentious... ..What a load of balony.. Then Mike, who the comentator describes as "having a canny ability to second guess the sharks mood", admits he didn't expect the female shark to go for his hand as he in the water. and later the comentator says ".. as the shark swims around Mike wondering what he's upto..", oh yeh I'm sure a lot of this is the pretentious producer hyping a nutter in the sea with sharks... | putting aside the hype from the commentator etc (he has to sell the film after all) I still think this is great publicity for sharks.

| When Mike gives his talk he gives it warts and all and explains the footage 'diver style' in far more detail, but unfortunately as has been said, C5 has to 'Disney' it up a bit to give it some adventure factor. Divers tend to be reading too much between the lines to fully enjoy this type of TV production.

| Thought it was awesome to see, and also to show to the public that these animals aren't just blood thirsty killers, but are more than that!!!! Thought it was incredible beautiful watching the way the reef sharks interacted, with him and the females pushing each other out the way to interact with him!!! Still doesn't stop him being a nutter though!!!! |

| Most of the tv dive shows hype up both Diver and shark. I have lost count the amount of times they try to portray the shark as something more that a killer, then go on and tell us about how potentialy dangerous it is whilst the music takes on an edge to outline the incredible danger That said aside from the rubbish Dave mentioned. He is a brave chap. Still not totally crazy he legged it out before the camera man when the big male came on the scene. If I was camera chap I would have ensured i was able to film sharkman as he climbed the ladder from the safety of the boat. |
