April in Malta. Wet or Dry?

I may have a days work in Malta in April - would be a crime against Neptune not to go sploosh, so I plan to add a three day dive package.

Will it be wet or dry? Sunny or rain, hot or cold, pissed or sober, toasty warm or really quite cold still? I know which I'd prefer.......

So does anyone know of a place that hires dry-suits there?
And here's the cheeky bit......does anyone have one I could borrow for a few days? Tall beanpole types are very helpful, or so I've heard

Any help or advice welcome.....

Cheers,
TaM

Aha! It was you that rang the shop!

Dry, definitely - unless you of strong stuff, there are plenty of 5mm to be seen around - it's just the surface interval that gets chilly!

Sue

Doh, try reading all of the post first, bimbo!

It will be warm in the sun , if it is out, but fleeces are a must for surface interval and evenings - today I only have three on! It has been rather windy!

The weather remains unpredictable in April - have a look at www.maltaweather.com for the 5 and 3 day forecasts.

You will be mainly pissed - mine's a Cisk ta!

Weather at the moment is really unpredictable. I have been hoping for ggod weather to touch the waters but looks like I must wait a little longer.

I am note sure about dry suits........buy you can get wet suits

I hope that when you come over you bring some good weather with you !

Depending on who you fly with, it might be worth paying for sports allowance and taking one with you - I would hate for you to turn up and it not fit.

Of course you could always do some diving in Gozo And, yes, Sally is very chirpy!

I would if I had one.

Even if I went and ordered one from Seaskin or similar I doubt I'd have it before mid April.

Brrrrrrrrr

btw, I'd happily do some diving in Gozo, but the work is right the other side of Malta .....its not too convenient.

I was fine there 4 weeks ago in a dry suit, then got fed up with it and wore my 5mm wetsuit and was absolutely warm enough

Ok, thats encouraging to hear. Do you tend to stay warm though?

I'm just about thin enough to lose heat pretty quickly if I'm not moving much.....

I've been trawling the for sale sections for a sensible suit, but nothing yet. Cant quite stretch to buying a mtm at the moment, though I'm sure the day will come.
