Meridian Divers / T R Thompson

Anyone see the report on the South East news last night about the above?

Any of Meridian Divers on YD?

Anyone who has dived out of Brighton on a regular basis will almost have certainly dived the T R Thompson?

I tried to find the report on the South East News web site ................... I suppose I had the correct station?

Yes, I did have the correct 'station'. I've emailed them to see if the footage is available through their website.

I should have just Googled for the information.

The Wreck of the SS T R Thompson (Steamship)

For you Northern softies and you West Country clear water divers that is proper Channel diving.

Interesting. This adopt a wreck scheme is definitely taking off. Maybe we could adopt one as YD. Make it a reasonable shallow one so that all members of YD could dive it and do stuff though, then it can be for everyone.

OK, I'll start looking for wrecks in the 45-50 mtrs depth range. Anything shallower is a) a snorkel and not a dive, and b) will have no spidge left on it?

Hello Brian
I'm a member of Meridian divers and was on the boat yesterday. Interesting stuff. I spent most of the time hiding from the camera operator.
It was pretty dark on the wreck, but the weather was great.
I like the YD adopt a wreck idea.
Jimbob
