Wreck Detectives Ch 522 on now - Diving the Resurgam
On now 4-5pm. Seen this wreck mentioned a few times on YD - looks good.

Edit: Actually looks like an "unknown" U Boat off the Cornish coast.

They've been showing (and still are) wreck detectives all day.

Had something off chesil beach, sunderland, resurgam and now a "deep dark and dangerous in her deepest ever dive" 60m german u-boat.

Yep, that's the one I was watching, but the blurb on the program desription showed the detail from a different episode. Still, it was nice to see good quality filming at 60m, with fantastic viz. Very atmospheric!!

Vis and conditions looked fantastic, even without the lights it looked good.

Apparently her first 60m (ok 57m) sea dive and in with a "dive tutor". Trained for "10 days" for this dive.

Guy with her was on manifold tanks, she was on indies.

We had the whole lot of them (presenters, crew etc) at a BBQ in pembroke the weekend they did the sunderland thing.


Must admit looking at that footage makes me want to do a trimix course.

Although it also makes me want to dive in the sea which has proved impossible so far this year.
