o2 bottles

I have come across two, possibly 3 o2 bottles in work, they have been dumped in the far corner of site and have been there for 2-3 months according to the logistics contractor who is desperate to be rid of them. BOC have failed to return calls about collecting them.

where do i stand legally if I take them and empty them ( into my twins perhaps )

the cylinders will be checked for pressure contents on 08/04/08.

If they're 47 ltr J bottles then that's something I'd like to see!

are they still worth removing to a safe place if they are empty.

one was a W and is near empty and one was smaller than this but has no size indicated, but the mech engineers had that to go with the unopened acetylene bottle we also discovered. am going to have a more thorough search tomorrow to see if any more are on site.

theres a nitrogen one too I think thats a J
