Smile High O2

As ever....thanks for replies.

As it turned out, I serviced the regs and let the car mix the gas up, if it needed rolling about a bit.

I did, however, before diving, check out all regs and most were leaking at the first stage, second stages were in great shape.

Got the lot serviced.

After the dive, and after having polished off all the 8 month old gas (which tasted like newly pumped gas, which was to a nice 50m to get back in the swing, I took all cylinders to BOC on the island for service. All fine...no oxidisation whatsoever.

Thanks for the tips all.

Kind regards.

kinetic....the muppet

Thanks for any comments...keep 'em sensible....I know I'm a muppet.

I filled the gas in my CCR bailout tanks in 2004. Its still in there and still analises out the same.

8 months is nothing. I use a gas bank (Js) and I keep them for at least a year.

Exactly, if that were the case, then we'd have evolved to have noses on our feet surely ?

You mount the storage cylinders on a plate supported by springs, it's then a simple matter of everytime someone walks past you just give the tank a push.

Bit like a Weeble !

not with my smelly feet, we wouldn't

The atomic weight of N2 is 14 and the atomic weight of O2 is 16, so O2 is 14.29% heavier. Is someone out there serious about suggesting that this small increase in weight is enough to cause a significant stratification of nitrox? Brownian movement is a very powerful thing you know - there are butterflies which can smell a possible mate from over 2 miles away...

That's nothing, the men of Grimsby can do the same thing from 5 miles...
