| The Oceanic Shadow is renowned for fogging when new. The advice on toothpaste is good as long as it contains a mild abrasive. I've also used a worn piece of Scothbrite. Sticking it through a cycle in the dishwasher also helps. |

| ...is it just me? I thought we used toothpaste to clean a new mask to remove traces of the oil on the lens that the manufacturers use to protect the silicone. From there on in good old fashioned spit does the job. As toothpaste is a mild abrasive aren't we doing more harm than good by keeping on using it as an anti-fog? If you really can't bear spitting then a tiny drop of washing up liquid will do a similar job.

| Thanks for clarifying that. I was concerned when a google revealed several other sources suggesting it as a defogging method for masks.
