All the changes at Portland

OK, so as you all know there have been loads of changes in Portland with the shuttle boats and everything changing hands. I have read the websites, but I am really confused as to who is doing what.

1. Are there any shuttles out of Portland any more
2. What happenned to my credit on the booking site (not critical as it was only about 10-12 quid)
3. Will my key still work for the air compressor and do I still add credit to that in the Hotel ?
4. If there are shuttles, how do we book now, as the online booking was so easy...

Thanks if anyone knows!

1. yes, Cutlass when not fully booked out
2. unknown, speak to David Wallace of Dive Dorset
3. key yes, where to add credit unknown but I presume they'll be somewhere to pay, as Smudge now owns the gas shop
4. ring Smudge direct although AIUI they are going to electronic booking shortly

So there are not any permanent shuttles these days, in the way that there was with Goose and Top Gun last season ?

Thats a shame, it was so easy to book a weekends diving that way!

I believe that the http://www.book4dives.co.uk/ booking system - that you used to be able to book Dive Dorset's boats on - will be taking bookings on the Scimitar boats very soon

edit:

That would be spiffing, if that is the case

I am hoping to do some shuttling down there this summer, as its so much easier than getting on trips sometimes

As far as I know F&B are still running their rib shuttles out of Portland just from a new base. The last I knew they should be in the new centre at the pub just as you come onto the road along the back of Chesil beach.

Cant remember the name.

If not then they have a temporray set up using the slip at the Breakwater

Ferrybridge at the moment, but is apparently going to be renamed Fathom and Blues.
