What's the one thing during a dive that makes it all worthwhile?

What a shame you haven't seen (noticed! They camouflage themselves so well!!) yet as you are a fan, they are brilliant to watch if they don't jet off too quickly. Watched 2 males (?) jostling over a female? for ages in the Red Sea once on a night dive.
The giant cuttlefish I saw at the Great Barrier reef seemed more placid than the british ones.
I love seeing anything , fish or mammal, as big as or bigger than me!!

Watching the ladies getting changed only kidding for me i still get a buzz from being weightless and being underwater it's great to see fantastic wrecks unfold beneath you as your dropping down although it doesn't happen too much in the UK

Kirstie and I had an amazing dive with a John Dory in about 4 meters of water at Bovisands. The water was soo clear and the fish was so close, Kirstie got some brilliant photos. In the end, we had to swim away from it!

But for me, it's seeing dolphins. When I had 6 of them swimming around me in the Red Sea, it made up for all those zero viz dives in the UK!!

The one that buzzed me off Chesil Beach frightened the bejesus out of me! Vis was so poor all I saw was a HUGE grayish thing fly by. But the next 4 hours were great fun and I have a pic in my lounge that reminds me of that day

now where's that speargun....Dolphin steaks anyone???

Cephelapods are very nice to watch and always put a smile on my face, but what really gives me a huge sense of awe and wonderment on a dive is a free swimming salp. Did I ever mention that I think tunicates are mad?
