Question Most expensive loss..

On from the 'Pushing kit beyond its depth' thread, whats the most expensive piece of kits that you've lost or had implode?

Mine
- Flooded a digital camera (£200)
- Lost the replacement camera and its housing in the rea sea £400

Worst I've heard of was the team who dived the carpathia ~150m, imploded every camera they had including two HD video cameras around £10K each.

I don't feel so bad now about my losses now.

Flooded a Sony stills camera and Ikelite housing. Cost about €2K. Thank God for insurance!

Ikelite SS200 strobe flooded. Replacement would be £750. I have a mate who is taking it apart and trying to put it back together as a pet project

Son, you're going to have to make up your mind about growing up and becoming aircrew. You can't do both.

The aircraft limits are only there in case there is another flight by that particular aircraft. If subsequent flights do not appear likely, there are no limits.

Nothing too impressive....... dumped my weight belt at the surface instead of pulling the tekwing cummerbund release

Lost 10kg lead (£40 at current prices) and £5 belt.
