wrist rehab....

....and how soon to start it?

Due to my recent stupid injury.....see Stupid Injury
......I now have a still swollen and badly sprained wrist, though I can now do things like wash-up (slowly) and type, I cant pick up a full cup of tea.

I really want it to be dive-fit for next Sunday's trip to the Wrayspuddle, so how soon should I start excercising it? Straight away, or leave it till the swelling has gone down?

I've got a good idea of how to get it mobile and strong again, just when to start it?

Any input from anyone that knows gets greened.

Ta.

Does your rehabilitation involve it's mine and i'll wash it as fast as i can If it's just a sprain keeping it mobile after a day or so rest should help in other words RICE and then gentle exercises

Question

I'm not expert but don't injuries preclude you from diving as the injury is more succeptable to a bend, because of the injured tissue?

Dave C

Plus if you exit the dive and the strain returns how do you know its not a bend?

Thats a very good point Dave, and thanks for making it.

a. Its only Wraysbury, so max depth @ 7 or 8 Metres.

b. I guess you can still get bent in 7 or 8 Metres, so no - you dont.

Ok, I think I'm just wishing against the wind really (I do love a mixed metaphore), I doubt at all that I'll be dive fit by Sunday. i
Its good to have it pointed out by others though, otherwise I'd be hoping all week.

It aint gonna happen.
Oh, well. Its not like the waters going to go anywhere.
