I would tend to go for the traditional English but less used, the world already has enough Johns and Susans, but still have something that is a recognised name rather than something that sounds like a stop on the Paris Metro. Also, before going for something romantic sounding biblical or mythological, look them up. I had a girl in my primary school called Medusa Anne and we little children wondered why she was usually called Anne. I suppose you could blame it on a long labour and over enthusiastic use of gas/air but the poor thing has to live with it. |

.To the OP, most of my friends who have sprogs have changed their mind about the name once they're born. When you meet them something will just "fit" and you'll know that's what they are meant to be called. Good Luck, Susan, x. |

| our newest arrival was going to be called Geraint Efan, but 2 days before he was cut out his big sister said I like Alexander, we put it with the Geraint bit and it worked. you will know what to call it when it arrives, its some sort of instinct thing. as for the initials spelling words SWMBO became a JEW when she married me

| I would opt for traditional English/British names myself, but my poor little grandson, two weeks old, has been lumbered with Caeleb Balthazaar. My son, his uncle, has already decided he can't cope with that and is going to call him Bart!
