Accomodation in Stromness
I'm booked on a week in scap in September and was planning to stay in the youth hostel to try and keep the costs down a bit. However, I've just been informed by the SYHA that the youth hostel is no more (seems stranges as it was all newly renovated last year!)

So what I'm after is some help in finding a non-expensive bed for 8 nights in Stromness.

Any ideas?

I've stayed at the Orca before but they dont have availability for the dates.

Stayed at Browns youth hostel (independly run) which was rather nice - huge kitchen area, free internet access etc etc on stromness's main street only 2 mins to harbour - dont think they have a website but here's their details.

Yes. As we are still only on May, it is currently the May and June divers turn to be excited. We can't have too much excitment around here or we will all turn funny.

and no, its never too early to be excited about Scapa, just like its not too early to be dreading the drive up there!
