I write with a Waterman fountain pen and mine was only £40. Cross are £100+ so I sympathise. It takes ages to "bed" a fountain pen in and if someone else uses it it can ruin it completely, never writing the same again. Really hope you find it.

The Mont Blanc fountain pen didn't need bedding in at all. Felt beautiful from day one.
