One of my faves was The Village Idiot, his pet name for for a Brit diver who was attempting a deep air record at the time.

I particularly enjoyed his account of one Florida cave instructor being caught by his missus making the beast with two backs with someone who clearly wasn't her. Even if it wasn't true, you wanted it to be

I'm not sure that members of YD should be getting into critiques of other's physiques. It's probably a subject left well alone - especially after all the fuss we had about a perfectly fit and healthy young woman in Diver "not looking normal". (YD - keep off the pies!)

Question for Stuart or Jack who are more familiar with the history here, would it be fair to say that George and his "style" were responsible for bringing Helium-based mixes into the "mainstream" of Technical diving, when many of his peers were advocating air?
