| Those who know me will know that I don't get involved in arguements on YD and I can't remember ever insulting anyone on here. I read your original post several times and was aware that you wanted an arguement (you said so yourself). Quote:

Why not simply ask why there are not many young people, in your experience, learning to dive? Instead you wrote a lengthy diatribe, asking people to argue with you. And then get cross when they do. Now, back to your question.... 2 years ago I spent 9 months doing DSDs, bubblemaker and Junior open water courses 6 days a week. Let me tell you, in the Med, when people are on holiday, loads of kids and young people learn to dive. Last year I had several students under 18. All were praised and encouraged to continue developing their diving. In your experience, maybe you haven't seen many or dived with many people your age. But you make generalizations and assumptions based on just your experience. This may cause arguements (again you asked for one). So stop having a paddy, think before you write and have some respect for the thoughts and experiences of those older and maybe just a little wiser and more experienced than you are.
