DIR....... yeah right

DIR yeah right . so whats all the fuss about . well as iv mentioned im no expert and have only started on my journey to the dark side .

i was kindly offered by dublin bay diver(may tanx for this) to come to a pool and to witness and see what its about before i spend my hard earned cash on a course that i might think is absaloute bol..x .

so went to the pool meet with DBD and this guy Frank . seems a nice guy .

liked the way he set up his gear and had it configured . very nice (still not converted)

liked the way he had excelent controol of his bouyancy . didnt leave 1' from the ground in 1 hour and never touched the bottom . did all his drills . lovely . very nice .(still not converted)

finned forward gracefully . turned gracefully . finned backwards (holy fcuk thats inpressive ) assended with his fins and decended with his finns . very nice (still not converted)

so i spent 1 full hour with this guy and every indivual thing that he done was excelent and nice to know .

so got talking to DBD after and he informs me that this guy is only on the first step on the ladder . hes a fundie . well impressed

so as a package :

holy shit bat man are you about to eat your words

So DIR yeah right ....so mmmmmmm where do i sign up

Frank is a fundie, but I think he is pretty experienced. I don't think it is a "do the course and become this..." deal. There is a fair bit of experience there.

Good luck with it, I will be going to the DIR days Frank and Jack are setting up so see you around some time.

That's where you bought the package.

You have been convinced that these things are important so you are now going to spend the rest of your diving years in quarries practising to have ever more perfect buoyancy and trim.

The rest of us know what 'good enough to do the job' means.
