Me and him under pressure (no pun intended) breathing like mad men breathed 50 bar out of my twin 10s on the way to the surface. I was AMAZED as before I would have happily come of the Hydrobox on a 12ltr single on 70bar no problem.

I'm not diving in the hope there is a problem but do hope that if there is I will be able to deal with it ( I sound like such a preacher now, sorry. )

50bar on twin 10s is a lot I would never have thought that me +1 would use that but when the stress goes up the chest starts pumping and the lungs start chuffing the gauge starts moving!!! P.S. I am like one of those annoying people who doesn't breathe much (only when stressed)

IMHO diving to 60m on air is not only pointless but plain daft. I've done enough 40m+ diving on air to know that it's not big and certainly not clever.

These days you won't catch me below 40m without a nice dose of He in the mix, being in the engine room of the Zenobia on air was funny at the time BUT when I look back and realise just how narked I was .... silly really.

As you get more experienced you'll find your air consumption improves to the point where you can safely dive to much greater depths on a single cylinder. Keep at it.

I breathe so little I dive twin 12s and have never called a dive because max gas reached by me, I like to think of myself as a Buddhist in meditation Buddhists meditate don't they???

My goodness how I laughed....

I did a 40m dive, on air, in a lake a little while ago. All went to plan, navigation was perfect. No probs. I remembered every minute.

To use up the rest of the gas we did a shallow dive later, dropped a torch, got lost in silt and found ourselves in pitch black mid water at 25m. I needed to swim west so I looked at my compass. Hmmm, which way is west, that way? Yes, errrr, is it, are you sure?, err perhaps, what about this way, visualise the map, which way's up, o, that's right. Go west young man. But which way is west etc etc.... The few brain cells I had left were all pulling in different directions. I could NOT think which way to swim. At 25m!

I love this diving lark, you just never know what to expect.....

OK Naomi doing silly things hose leaking on my pony regs gets a new one have to test it for leaks as i put new hose on & am not going diving for 3 weeks so a light comes on in my head i fill the bath gets in good test no leaks fantastic am doing OK then i open the bath room door still sucking air as the wife & mother in low are coming in the front door me standing with mask on my head & holding my pony with rigs in i am still having bad dreams about the look on my mother in lows face
