I don't like these kinds of threads for a number of reasons....

1) Juz & Digger will "win" or maybe Chasey will, I am not sure and if Mark Ellyatt bothers to post then he will win YD is such a broad church that we get some really top divers involved.

2) It reflects the "wrong" side of scubadiving. It should be not about being competitive, in my view. Unfortunately it's about the only thing the industry seems to be able to do.....send people deeper more quickly.

3) Why not qualify the question with "How much enjoyment did you have whilst you were doing the dive?" I am convinced my more more pleasurable dives were quite shallow.

Sorry for being grumpy ..... as to the OP I'd "beat" some but lose to others.
Mal

I suppose I could claim that I never dive deeper than 30 metres

Depth is one thing, distance is another

Tenerife, 59 mtrs, single 12ltr of air. 2nd dive of the day (final dive of the hols) and only started with 180 bar. It was a short and naughty dive.

I swear my computer said 60 mtrs on the bottom but only recorded it as ...........

My goodness, this sounds exactly like a dive Turbs did in Tenerife - 65m, single 12, halfway or more through the dive and on his own. Naughty Turbs and naughty you!

FIGHT FIGHT FIGHT!

Lobbocks. Depth is a good enough reason for any dive and I don't care what anyone says. These days everyone is so caught up on rules and C cards that they forget about learning through doing.

Did I enjoy that dive? Did I ever. What a 'kin buzz being at abt 60 mtrs and being able to see the surface and the bubbles going all the way up ............ marvellous. Wouldn't have missed it for the world. I went back to the apartment with a BIG smile on my face. If somewhere exists then there is no reason not to want to go there?

I'm sure we prefer rough tough and super cool?

Sadly those are places I will never reach!
