Just got my gear ready for my Red Sea trip... Changed my hoses and regs over, pressurised everything to check for any leaks; all seems okay. Run through my head to toe check several times to make sure I haven't forgotten anything vital... I always have this feeling that I've left somthing out though! Just some clothes to pack now, so that won't take long. Just checked out the weather and it is nice and warm, looking at mid 30's, so hoping for mid 20's sea temperature... Getting excited now!

This weekend

Spent Saturday at Stoney assisting with some OD training. Taught some valuable lessons not entirely to do with diving. students eh!
Viz was rather good and the upper car park was nearly empty. Got some fills ready for next weekend for the DaveS Lundy twin boat and caravan extravaganza. Daughter put extra beer in the fridge for me as it was hot day-without me asking
Just back from the one hour bike ride seeing the countryside at its best.

West Wales. Clear skies, warm, on wind. Flat calm sea - mirror like. OK tides.

...but all the sites we went to the sea looked like soup with vis well under 1m.

The lucy went completely black below 20m and on the wreck itself even with torch the beam stopped after about 50cm.
Skokholm green and <1m and the Thor about 1-2m.

Very disappointing given the good weather.

Learning how to use and demonstrate the PADI wheel, RDP and eRDP

deep deep joy. Frankly I'd rather stick knitting needles in my eyes.

Today i am the proverbial blue bottomed fly as i prepare to pick up my first house guests in my new home (i moved in 2 weeks ago) and they have come over from Vancouver all 4 of them.I spent three years building this house and even at this late stage i have had to fit a basin in one bathroom and fix a pooper in one ensuite.
I am totally stressed
