Just have to get this off my chest.

Arrived home this early evening to be asked by the SWMBO fancy a BBQ for your Tea (this usually means i cook a few bits she sits on her royal ar$e and she eats very little.

so the evening stareted off ok then i hear a siren quite close but the main road is about 200yds from ours so i think nothing about it. get some chairs out of the shed and into the sun and see a Fire engine drive up the street quit slow again no reason to panic i think they maybe just filling up or testing the hydrants.

walk back and then hear a voice (now i know im no Gordon Ramsey but why would somebody complain about the food when i have not started

the voice has come from a policeman and seeing his Traffic style car i think Oooops im in the $h1t. he asks if im OK i look at hime even more stupidly than i normally look and say Yeh WHY because we have had a report that a man at this address is on fire in his garden..... then another coppper arrives i think sh1t not enough sausages to feed this lot and the Fire engin arrives again to be told its a hoaks shout....

If i could get my hands on the littel To$$er$ that called those guys out i would shuv broken glass up there japs eyes just to see the look on there face....

the fire service do a special and wonderfull job they dont need little Vodka fueled To$$er$ calling them out for $h1t like that

yep an incredible waste of money that puts lives at risk and ties up valuable resources, also with hidden costs as well, the accident that finished my career in the fire service turned out to be a malicious [hoax] call.

Can they not trace the caller back and charge the.... o, no point. what's the chance that whoever made the call lives on taxpayers' dough anyway?

Same for the Police. I am sure that both services would rather be out doing their 'real job' than putting up with hoaxers.

as many here know im about to start a new and wonderfull career in the fire brigade . i know that when a hoax call is made it put others at risk in the area as the engine must fully investigate the call as the incorrect address may have been given accidently .

Those if there is a ligitamate call in the area another engine may have to be called from outside the locality . this means a longer responce time and the likleyhood that somebody may not ever see there family again as seconds matter
