Boats went out each day from Aquanauts in Plymouth and excellent viz was reported.

Viz was also amazing at Bovi on Saturday (where I was RD for OWD3) - it was almost tropical in its clarity

Plymouth - RIBs. Saturday ( JEL, Scylla ), Sunday ( Eddystone, Hilsea ), Monday ( Elk ).

Pretty good vis ( apart from weird hugh plankton at Eddystone on Sunday ) and weather OK. Great weather Sunday afternoon.

Monday - terrible weather although good vis on Elk.

Very, very quiet at Mountbatten.

We launched from Portland on Sat and had good vis both inside (~5m) and outside the harbour (5-10m towards Lulworth Cove). Sunday we launched from Kimmeridge and had 10m+ vis on the Aeolian Sky. My first time diving it - fantastic fun! Monday was blown out though.

Couldn't dive the weekend as I was on call so jacked up a club dive, North Cornwall for Monday - blown out so had a quick phone round Sunday to see what Plymouth was like, told excelent.

Planned to do Plymouth with Discovery Divers and the club on Monday. Called in to check - blown out.

So no, ended up painting the shed, tidying the garage and playig with the daughter.

S not all bad

5 great dives over 3 days out of Porthleven, skipper had to play dodge the weather but we had some great vis including 15m+ at 38m on the Ibis. Full trip report to follow.

Dived both Saturday and Sunday, 'turned out nice again didn't it?'

Managed 6 dives in 7 days, had Thursday off, went swimming instead
