| Department for Transport have released an abridged version of the survey report on the Richard Montgomery wreck that we did for them a while ago. You can find it at this address: MCA - Reciever of Wreck - SS Richard Montgomery It includes one of our 3D images of the wreck..... ![]() This beast still contains 1.4 megatons of unexploded munitions and is off limits to divers. | Chris, I've been waiting for a while to see these again, been a long time since DOC. You refer to 1.4 megatons of unexploded munitions. I take it this is some kind of equivalent, in the same fashion of A or H bombs? Edit; Report says 1.4 kilotons Adrian

I remember sailing past the Montgomery on a very early tide out of Queenborough 30 or so years ago. Sun had just risen. All very quiet apart from warning sirens around the wreck. Very eerie. I wonder how many people even know it exists. Adrian

![]() Now if you stuck that back together, laid it on its Port side and put the masts and all the superstructure back on you would have the Henry B Plant
