| Not being a regular visitor to Stoney but last week I did notice at the lack of kitting up benches. Normally I didnt mind sitting on the tailgate of my old 307 and standing the twin 12's in th e boot but last week it was my new car's first decent outing as a dive wagon and I was reluctant to do that in case of scratching/damaging it. It was then I remarked to my buddy at the excellent facilities at Capers including concrete blocks to assist divers raising their kit to a decent height and also kitting up benches at the water edge. By the way what has happened to the hydro box it appears to have been removed? |

| the problem is they have a captive audiance much like motorway services. They facilities are generally good bar the changing rooms/toilets. It does not seem to get as bad mid week - mind you with the 500+ divers going through on a sat & again sunday it would help if the toilets/changing rooms were mopped out every hour or so. Charging for the prebook spaces suits most parties - we are happy to pay it so we don't have to get there at daft o'clock & the cove is happy to charge it as they know will go anyway and are happy to pay it. Win (divers) & win win (the cove) for all parties. If you have a car of 3/4 its only a couple if quid more. I personally prebook every time as I do't want to get there at 5am for a space. That is my personal choice though and I am happy to pay £5 per hour to sleep in till 7am! |

| i'm yet to dive stoney cove myself so can't comment personally on their facilities, but i have heard a few of the lads in the club moan about stoney not changing anything in the water or adding anything new for years/years - you'd think this would be their main concern (that is what we go for right?). i've heard they have a great shop though |

| and as I was on the same course as you and down on the hydrobox at the same time can I just mention that I managed to lose my Bowstone Weight Pouch with 5Kg in it - so if it's found I would very much like it back !!!! btw - the gents toilets were blocked for most of the day and not flushing, it was outrageous. I won't even begin to describe what it was like in there.
