Loch Long, toilets? Where are they? I dived there on Friday and the only toilets I could find were in the bushes with the midges biting me bits.

Hydrobox is a large 4m x 4m metal box with a round hatch in the top that can be closed (hatch head now missing - I think). The whole thing is weighted with huge weights and can be entered from underneath as the sides and the bottom are open and the sides are sat up on legs by around 4ft. The purpose of the box is you can close the hatch, fill it with air and do things like welding in it in the 'dry' (but at 4.5bar) So if you fancy mixing narcosis with a welding torch its ideal.

It was put there for commercial divers to practice their mechanical skills and asfety procedures.

These days it is most used for depth junkies needing a fix or people that want to practice overhead environment / deeper diving in a safer situation - it sits at 31 top-36m btm down the road into the pit from the busstop on the rh side. You find it if u drop off the right side of the road at 26m. It is quite dark there so a good torch and backup is essential IMO.

Toilets in a state? I blame the users.

Frankie - take no notice of him - he is just boasting that he is going to get more dives in this year than any other year and he is paying sweet FA for the admission costs - he has been in Scotland 5 minutes and he is starting to think like one.

There are no toilets at Loch Long unless you have a pee valve.

It's ever since I did that post about pissing in the sink as it holds your neck seal down and stops you from weeing on it.

It's polite to run the tap afterwards.

Thats what I mean be 'poor' toilets.

Although if its any use the 'pit stop' cafe in Arrochar will let you use their toilets.
