| I think that as diving is something totally alien to the usual human experiance that our brains can at times attempt to 'make sense' of the sounds and sensations in some odd way beyond the input from the conscious mind. Maybe for whatever reason your brain is trying to rationalise the sound of inspiration. It'll probably pass of its own accord. |

It could have been distant boat engines as, each time it's happened, there would've been boats in the area. But I know what they sound like underwater, and this doesn't sound like that. It's more of a groaning sound.

| 1. Hmm....do you only hear them whilst diving, if not I know some people it may be helpful to talk to........I will be in Plymouth next week if you want a consultation. 2. If only when diving, has your buddy done a bubble check, any gas leakage ? How is your kit configured if the sound appears to be from your right ear ? 3. Do you always remember to take the parrot off of your shoulder before leaving the boat ? Ralph |

1. Yes. The voices I hear when not diving usually have real people attached to them. 2. No. Hogarthian rig, single cylinder. 3. Yes.
