LOL, funnily enough it's always when I dive with Little Naughty. But when I look round she's usually some distance away, busy with her camera.

1. Glad to hear it, but keep me informed if there is any deterioration, otherwise we can go back to the usual 6 month appointments.

2. No to bubble check, or no to leak, could be small enough not to be noticable on the surface, try changing the reg hose for your next dive.

3. Good......memo to self, cancel call to RSPB.....

Another alternative is if the service on the first stage has left it resonating slightly, this could be amplified and travel down the hose...... not got a piston 1st stage have you (Mk20/25)? They can resonate a treat!

Buoyant Babe tells me it is the sound of her talking underwater - slightly muffled as its coming all the way from Orkney

I get weird noises underwater, but its the gas in my wing moving around

Do you know, I haven't got a clue what my main reg is, apart from the fact it's a Scubapro! Isn't that terrible? It's because they belong to Turbs and I 'acquired' them when we got together. That, and the Halcyon wing. Saved me a packet, that did!

Your theory sounds completely plausible, because the noise started after Turbs fiddled with the first stage (he's a qualified Scubapro technician so is allowed to).
