a Flurry of BSAC Qualification cards in the post.

For some reason I have been resent my BSAC Drager and Inspiration Qualification cards, not sure why - apart from they are a different design. I was originally sent them ages ago. (2 years for the Drager!)

Is everyone getting them for some specific reason? They have a issue date of 02 June 08 did the BSAC computer barf?

I was going to post this on the BSAC forum but I didnt want anyone to think I was just lookng for porn.

The cards are being produced and shipped out by an external company. There seems to be some hic cups though.

Your safe the porn has been deleted.

Perhaps it might be because Andy looked into it after this thread was started?

I doubt it - as they are not membership cards, but QUALIFICATION cards.

WhiLe they may come from the same place, these are not dependent on membership payments. my understanding is they are issued once...

maybe someone at HQ got a kick up the bum - if so well done and about time! I just got email reminders about membership renewals. First time in 15 years I've ever had a reminder!

I know that i have recently spent time on the phone with them helping them to understand my displeasure that they would take money with out providing goods for 2 months and i'm sure others have as well. I seem to have fallen in to a band of time when they stopped issuing the older cards and hadn't yet been able to provide the new cards so had nothing.

I'm glad that i have my card now and pleased its been resolved but i think BSAC have managed this very badly. And no, dependency on a 3rd party is not an excuse, it may be the reason for the problem, but it doesn't explain why there was no communication, or why they took the money in the first place and why i kept getting told it would be 2 weeks.

The thread I quoted earlier moved onto to the qualification cards too.

IMO it is a shame that people complain when something doesn't happen (often in the wrong place too, like a 3rd party forum) then freely complain again when it does............

No wonder there is a shortage of people willing to volunteer for things at branch , regional and national level.

You're damned if you do and damned if you don't.

Sigh..............

David.

What a load of tosh. If it had been any other company/organisation i would have been on to trading standards earlier than i was. I'm also involved in my branch in a variety of ways.

Are you saying i should accept crap service?????????????

Membership secs used to get them instead. Usually at least one as they get sent out while branches are collecting sub once the previous year has expired.
