| Can't help with tables but the viz inshore is not good at the moment as there is still a lot of crap in the water from the north easterlies that blew up week before last. I dived offshore and to the south on the lightship and the UC 39 on Sunday, viz was 4 mtrs ish offshore approx 40 miles out and 2 mtrs at the most on the sub so inshore was worse. The weather is set to change again this week so don't hold your breath for a settled period. Zaf |

| Thanks Zaf for the report, I'd better find somewhere else to dive then. |

| Yeah, I was thinking of having a look on Saturday, but I might try Runswick bay instead then . . . ColinM

But then I dive off of a kayak, so I can paddle away from all the crap silty areas to the nice clear rocky ones. The problem with Bridlington is that it's in a large, shallow, silty, sandy bay. Then there's Flamborough Head, nice clean chalky stuff. Then, above Flamborough Head there's Reighton Gap, which is made from Speeton Clay, not the best material to help provide some viz. So the viz improves the further south you go, or the further north you go, Above Scarborough Robin Hoods bay could have some viz, maybe . . . Hmmmm . . . ColinM

In any event if the wind stays SW or W you will probably get 2 mtrs 3 if youre lucky, good enough for Crab and hunting. If the wind turns North or East then forget the Yorkshire East Coast as it stirs everything up and its takes a long time to settle down, which is why the season is so short here. I,m keeping my fingers crossed for semi settled weather for my next trip on the 18th, which will be offshore. Zaf |
