Speed cameras!! There's only one and it is just before a junction where you nearly always slow down for anyway.

You will nearly go past my house so give me a wave or a knock and I'll show you around.

Last weekend was fantastic here (sadly I couldn't dive as we had relatives staying) and was the best for some time. Forecast locally is variable, but won't be worse than we had 2 weeks ago, when I wished I'd stayed at home rather than dive!! Viz was not good. We did bump into a seal though whilst it was having a good old roll about on the seabed.

If you have your dives canned and don't want to spend your time in the local pubs go to Bamburgh Castle just up the road. There's loads of good walks locally and other small villages to see up and down the coast. Or, there's always ALnwick Castle and Alnwick Gardens about 15 miles away.

Hi Jules,

I'd not heard you were off to the Farnes I told you it was the undersuit blocking your dump valve.

I'm sure you have everything planned but make sure you take some seasickness tablets as it can be rough getting to a sheltered site if the weather isn't playing ball

P.S. I don't know the name of it but there is a small cafe on the island before you turn down to the harbour that sells homemade cakes and the most gorgeous ice cream I've ever tasted, and an excellent chish and fip shop across from it, have fun.

She's been in a rounders tournament today. Then to a meeting about her trip to Germany at the end of the month, so I've hardly seen her.

She's just shown me her ankle. Fook me! The swelling at the bottom of her leg is hooomongus! A quick call to YD's resident nurse, and a call to the emergency doc has taken place. Just waiting on a call back.

Would I be EVIL to still go away even if she's broken her ankle?!?! Do I care!?!? She's got a Dad! He can look after her for a change!!!

i was walking up from the harbour at seahouses and a local copper asked me if id had a good day i told him it was a good dive except id blown a seal!
he arrested me and my case comes up next thursday

As well you know, I've done a pretty good job (the subject matter playing a major part though!) and because of my non-smoothering attitude she's growing into an independent young lady, who knows she's loved very much, so stick THAT in your pipe and smoke it, Will-boy!!!!

The swelling's gone done immensely and the bruising's come out. I've put a strap on it and it's flexing better than it was last night. And she's just set off for school! So, I'm afraid I'm still coming with you to Farnes, you don't get rid of me that easily!!!
