    Scuba Santa Thank Yous!

    Hi all,

Just would like to create a new thread to say thank you to everyone that helped make this a great event again this year. So in no particular order:

    1. Tim and Staff at Vobster Quay - for hosting, performing lots of the logistics on the day, and for donating additional funds for towards the scuba santas event.
    2. Julie (Haagen Dazs) for shouting, bullying, and for grabbing the attention of 80 simultaneously with very little effort (what was the comment about having 80 men going down?). You'll have no problems at the extreme ironing event!
    3. All of the hardy souls who took part in the scuba santas event!

Nice to bump into some old faces and to meet some new people from the YD crowd as well.

I'll annoy the hell out of guinness throughout 2009 to ensure that we'll have an official record for next year

If anyone has photos I'd really appreciate a copy that we can get on the site - obviously credits will be included. Please PM for email/postal address (I'll supply those with lots of photos some flickr account details).

There's some additional funds that were collected on the day which will be added to the justGiving total, donations can be made up until may.

Keep an eye on the scuba santas website for updates and eventually signups for next years event.

Well done everyone, have a great christmas, see you next year!

PS I'm away until the 6th January now so if there's a delay in replies I'm not ignoring you!

Well done Lloyd for organising it again. Glad you had a fun day, its a shame Vobster is so far away or I might have joined you. Maybe I could plan one for Capernwray next year.

    Copy cat!
Vobby is nearer than Falmouth, and you go there... so no excuses!
See you at Vobster for the 2009 event!

Sounds like a good idea. If we have a Northern event I'd be up for it.
BTW, there was a Scuba Santa at Capernwray yesterday.

Well I hope he put some money in the RNLI tin or the copyright police will be after him.

I'd like to add my thanks to Lloyd, Julie, Tim and everyone else who made it such a great day. Perrin and I had a great time, just sorry I missed several YDers who I would have liked to meet. The water wasn't that cold but the "tide" caused by so many sets of bubbles all rising from pretty much the same place was weird. Swimming to the shot was hard work with the water running out from it in all directins.
    Safe diving
55 sea dives this year ..... so far.........4 blown out, 3 wimped out, 6 cancelled and another 34 booked and paid for,
and 0 puddle jumps I've not been busy yet.
