    O2 analiser not working properly

im after a bit of advice about my gox100 analiser

i noticed yesterday after switching the unit on and letting the unit settle down after calibrating ,when i move the sensor housing around the reading jumps up and down all over the place!

the conection is like a small jack plug you get in a walkman/mp3 player and wondered if there was anything i can do to stop it maybe losing internal conection within the sensor!

My Analox was like this a while back and it turned out to be a loose connection on the circuit board , once it was soldered it was ok again until the sensor fail and couple of months ago that is

the conection seems to be very sloppy ali and was wondering maybe if its that causing the reading to jump up and down!

If you have a meter you can test the lead.

I think as said before it could be a bad connection or corrosion on the socket pins that touch the plug when its in the sensor, I don't know how to get into it its not a r22d thats what I am used to.

If its too bad you have nothing to lose, if its just a pain then perhaps just put up with it.

If its a short or bad connection the reading should go down, or even be nothing on your analyser.

If its going up there is something else wrong.
    Resistance is futile!!!

yes it did primarily drop when i moved it so i figure its a bad conection?

i wonder if there is any way i can sure up the conection?

    make it tighter!

If you can take the back cover off yes.

Or if its crud you could use a fine needle file on the inside of the socket

The r22ds just clip on , but I don't know about the jackplug ones.

How old is the sensor?? you could try un doing the nut at your own risk that is!!

ive had the unit out of its holder and is only a little sensor inside the white housing!
the conections are spotless just a little bit wobbley!

the sensor is showing 80% on calibration so its in descent working order apart from when i move it!

The meter reads 80% in what?? o2 then you need a new sensor.....

If you can get to the socket itself you may be able to bend the pins that touch the plug further so they are forced more towards the plug when its in the socket.

Hope that helps. it sounds as if the socket leavers that touch the plug are a bit weak.
