    Malta luggage allowance

    Hi all,
I am having a really thick moment so bear with me !
Just booked extra baggage on air malta for my july trip, £11.34 each way for 32 Kilo !!! is this right seems jolly good value what ! or is it a top from the 20 Kilo allowance [12 Kilo extra] for the £11.34.
Any clarification would be appreciated as I am enjoying a cheeky little Chilean merlot & am not quite with it.

    Cheers

Euro's 15 per sector (ie flight in flight out) for diving allowance to a max of 32 kg (Elf and safety regs and all that) - that's right.

yes i was working that out too, (also out in july so see you all soon). i took it as:

    max 32 kg
consisting of : 20kg free allowance
: 12 kg extra diving allowance for 15 euros

diving gear to be packed seperately they say ?????????

never flown with air malta before so not too sure

Hi I came back from Malta last month. Nothing was said about the dive kit on the way out, but coming back we were charged the 15 euros for excess baggage.
I asked about the charge(you used to get free dive kit) and was told it had been brought in last october. Having booked tickets nearly a year ago I had not looked at the terms since booking.
The check in lady told us that sports luggage was supposed to be packed seperatly to your normal baggage.
Also told that we could have up to 32kg sports equipment and 20kg normal luggage. Air Maltas web site says a sports equipment bag up to 32kg but does not say any thing about your normal allowance.
The best bet is to give them a call.
Will find the number in a moment for you.

Just been to Malta last month, allowance is 32kg on top of your normal 20kg but it must be packed in a separate bag.

You can book it on their website but you must book for outgoing and return separately, for some reason it's £11 odd going out and 15 euro's coming back.
