Just FYI PC World have the Netgear DG834G Unit at £69.32 inc VAT today online.

I'm not sure that's the cheapest price (it's the same price at DABS) but it's less than I paid for it 12 months ago.

Mark.

Just paid £69.99 at amazon with free delivery, so pretty much the same so hopefully this time next week i should be all up and running!

Should i sign up to the ISP before the router arrives? If so i can get that done today to speed things up a bit!

Cheers

Ian

You'll get one microfilter with your modem. It splits your analogue phone line off from the line coming into your house, so when you make a phone call it doesn't shag your ADSL. I have a pile of them, so if you need another one give me a nod and I'll fling on in your direction.

Personally? I use Plusnet and find them great. 2Mb (if you can get it) for £19.99 a month (albeit 2Gb download inclusive, then so much per Gb afterwards). They do a 'I have my own kit' option.

Cool, It's nice to know what they're on about, won't be ordering that then!

I'm going with Eclipse , sounds like a similar deal to yours except that it's only 1Gb/mnth for 2Mbs @ £14.99 (add 1Gb are £1.75). I personally think that i'll be ok with 1Gb but i suppose time will tell!!

Cheers again!

I would - it might take a few days for them to get your line switched on.

I use Zen, we use it at work and it has never dropped out in 18 months, so now I use it at home 21.27 plus vat for 512 per month unlimited, so now I can post after work,
