As it said!

DVD copying, I understand there is + formats, - Formats, ROM's.... what's the difference between them. What is compatible with what, are there any restrictions with different media playing on certain types of equipment?

As an example, if i shold edit and copy my own video to DVD, which format should one use.... and is it as easy as 'choosing' a format??

I'll try my best to answer this but I’m not 100% it’s not my area. The difference between the + & - is the media not what goes on it you can copy DVD format onto both. The problem is some equipment; DVD read writers have problem’s reading the media I’ve had problems with DVD – and now only buy DVD + R’s. Bit like some DVD players don’t like NTSC.
If you have a digital cam try using DVD Santa to copy your film’s to DVD. Two other very good products are DVD Shrink and WIN AVI Video Converter. The first two will also convert AVI files (windows media) to DVD
