Windows server 2003 - IT Bods only really :(

Evening

Got a query - after a huge failure of a 200 gig drive in my fathers server (he works for HP) - his server running server 2003 will never be the same.

Before he had a domain running with the 2 laptops and 3 desktops connected to it (alone with the numerous other PC`s hidden around the house). I have setup active directory and domain controller (along with the print server and other various servers he needs) - how do i add machines to the domain specified on the server?

i.e. the domain is Oceans23, which translates as oceans23.local (i assume). Ive added tango1 to the computers list in the active directory, but yet when i try to add tango1 to the domain it cant find itself.

On the client machines:
Right Click on My Computer
Click on the Computer Name tab
Click on the button labelled "Change" next to where it says: To rename this computer or join a domain
Make sure the "Domain" radio button is selected
Type in the domain name (oceans23.local)
Click OK.

Is this what you meant? If not I've misread it and I apologise. It's late

says i do not include delegation to the child zone - time to go read one of numerous bloody manuals

I know that there is a forest group/zone and various other things (late already)

Need to read about it i expect - things are rather different to fedora linux

EDIT - Logged in from server now:

Im in the active directory users and computers (from active directory domains and trust screen, clicking RMB on the domain name which is oceans23.local in teh tree hirachy)

Added tango1 and tango2 to the computers folder - added users to the user dir

still aint letting me
