I have been a long time user (15 years) of Symantec/Norton products, but no longer. They stopped supporting my 2001 program because it was too old. When I bought the new package it doesn't work on my PC because it is too old and has a Cyrix processor.

Anyone got any recommendations on a good anti virus software - pref a free 'shareware'. I do not want to change my ISP if at all possible.

I already have anti spyware.

Pandasoft ? AVG is good and can be found on the computeractive website .

Thanks for the AVG info.

By coincidence Rob Evans was browsing YD when I posted the question and he phoned and then emailed me the link. I have already downloaded AVG and this is the soonest I could get back to YD to say I am sorted (or hope to be when I reboot).

Norton are a complete pain in the ar$e. I have Norton Internet Security & Norton Antivirus. I didn't need the internet security as I have a v nice router with proper firewall so wanted to uninstall NIS, unfortunately in doing so it also destroyed AntiVirus which now will not install again!

I'll be installing an alternative also.
