| You could try downloading iTunes from Apple, merge the tracks on import as MP3. Not too straight forward, but the best I can do off the top of my head. Dom

| The problem with MP3 is that it doesn't support gapless playback so you're Creative software will always have a small gap between MP3 files You could try Exact Audio Copy which can rip a WAV image of a CD to your hard drive exactly as it would play in a CD player, so all the tracks will be contained in 1 WAV file. It also writes a CUE file which contains all the track info and allows CD burning software to insert track marks so you can still skip tracks. It can also encode your music as MP3 files but needs to use a separate encoder such as LAME (see website). I'm not sure if it can create an MP3 image file of your CDs though. If not you could make a WAV image with EAC then convert it to an MP3 file using one of the many audio converters on the net. By doing this you'd probably lose the track marks so couldn't skip tracks. I've not had much time to get to grips with EAC yet so can't give you much more advice sorry. It can be pretty complex, with lots of options for audiophiles, but the website should give you enough info to get started and the EAC Forum has lots of further advice. James |

| iTunes is your best free option. I use it for all my mix cds - very easy and good options for mp3 encoding quality.
